While enjoying a pleasant summer day in my backyard I noticed this fly just floating in the sunlight. I quickly ran back inside, and grabbed my 100-400mm Canon. When I came back outside this peculiar fly was still hovering in the dapple ray of light. After battling to find the narrowest plane of focus, I came away with a photo I like to call The Lord of the Flies
The same fly continued to be an excellent model, as it danced through the air.
Eventually, The Lord of the flies flew away leaving me struck at the character that even a little fly could have.
